Model 77AV with AV Automation,
KVH Holders, and CF-17 Vacuum Pump |
|
Lawler baths for low temperature kinematic viscosity conform to ASTM D445 and D2532 and related test method requirements for viscosity bath temperature stability and uniformity in the temperature range of from +15° to -75°C. A digital indicating PID temperature controller with 0.01°C resolution provides stability and uniformity of better than ±0.05°C as specified by ASTM D445 (when methyl alcohol or denatured ethyl alcohol are used as bath medium).
The bath jar is an evacuated, unsilvered Dewar flask. The jar is back-lit by a fluorescent light to facilitate reading of the meniscus in the viscometer tubes. A clear plastic viewing window protects the bath jar. Models have either 2 or 4 sample capacity.
Only ozone friendly, CFC and HCFC free refrigerant are used.
Model 77 is configured to accept 4 ea. 51 mm (2 inch) diameter holders. The 4 viscometer ports can be configured to any viscometer holder configuration, by special request. Model 77 temperature range is +15°C to -60°C.
Model 79 is identical to Model 77 but with the operating temperature range of +15° to -70°C.
Model 78 is identical to Model 77 but with the operating temperature range of +15ºC to -45ºC.
Model 74 has a capacity for 2 viscometers with a temperature range of +15ºC to -35ºC
Model 77AV is identical to Model 77 but configured to accept either one or two Lawler KVH visco meter holders or Schott automated AVS or TC viscometer holders. It can also be configured to accept one or two automated viscometers by other manufacturers. Please specify details of your application when ordering.
Model AV Automation Main Control Unit is purchased with the 77AV and KVH Holder to complete the KV automation system available from Lawler. Model AV captures the signals from the KVH holders and uses a convenient color touch panel. Up to two KV tests can be operated independently of each other. Upon insertion of the holder and pressing start, the unit will wait to bring the sample to bath temperature (pre-configured to 30 minutes), then turn on the vacuum pump, pull vacuum, release and commence testing the first run. After completing the first run, a second run is performed automatically. Result times for both runs are displayed.
Model 79F is identical to Model 79 but with the additional configuration to accept 1 or 2 ASTM D2386 test glassware and stirrer (supplied separately) for performing freezing point of aviation fuels. Lowest operating temperature is -75°C.
