Model FM-20 Automated Foam Test Sequencer has two channel mass flow controllers that have been shown to improve foam results. Model FM-20 conforms to ASTM D892 and ASTM D6082 test methods.

The mass flow controllers precisely and evenly meter (over the 5 minutes of the test) the air unaffected by back pressure and temperature. The actual flow rate is digitally displayed. These mass flow controllers replace measuring and manually controlling the air flow with a floating ball flow meter or the clumsy and difficult to use wet test meter.

The mass flow controllers are factory pre-calibrated (NIST traceable) for both 94 mL/min and 200 mL/min ±5 mL/min (selectable from the touch panel screen). The mass flow controller may be calibrated by the user as well.

The foaming event sequencer automatically starts the air flow after the 5 minute period of soaking the diffuser, sounds an alarm and automatically stops air flow after 5 minutes blowing period and again sounds the alarm after the 10 minutes settling period.

The touch screen panel also digitally displays the test sample temperature (if the four provided RTD probes are immersed into the foam test cylinders).

The touch screen panel also displays the remaining time to the next event requiring operator attention. Available as a stand alone model or incorporated into any of Lawler foam testing baths.

Model FM-20 is also available with an optional air totalizer that measures the total air exiting the foam test cylinder. The totalizer is a requirement of ASTM D892 method.

The advanced features of Model FM-20 have been fully extracted from the widely used and successful Model 323 air foam testing bath.
